Sometimes you don’t want to reinvent the wheel and would just like a fun project to work on that doesn’t require too much thought or attention, one of those busy-work projects you can do while watching tv or gabbing with your friends during a craft night.
Enter the ever-popular wrapped leather bracelet of Chan Luu fame and inspiration. There are tons of tutorials and variations of this project on line and this one is my favorite, so far!
My two bracelets used 1.5mm leather and c-lon cord. I did add a glue to the ends of the c-lon thread to stiffen them so they go through the beads easier. The top bracelet using 6/0 glass seed beads and 4mm copper beads. This bracelet uses 6mm x 8mm English-Cut beads.
I do recommend using 4-6mm size beads for the wrapped bracelets. My next wrapped bracelet projects will use smaller seed beads to create a mosaic-like texture.
The buttons on both of my bracelets are my new Faux Tin designs. You can find them on my website. We are working on a batch of heart buttons for my next trunk show.
