I love this journey’s beautiful inspirations. Of course, I’m most drawn to the bird imagery in the painting “Birds and Fruit in Snow” by Kumashiro Yuhi. Even though it’s a subtle design there is a lot going on there to inspire a jewelry piece – birds, leaves, branches, berries, snow – yes, please! I pulled some of my art beads that fit the theme. Anyone else loving that the painting is on silk? Thinking my design for this journey definitely needs some sari silk in a golden hue.
I recently re-launched my Humblebeads.com website and now offer Czech glass, metal findings and kits. A new feature is that I pull together Curated Collections featuring my art beads and my new offerings. This is the one I created for Journey #9, Softly Falling Snow. Check out the collection here.
Pull out those art beads in your stash and create something inspired by Journey #9! We can’t wait to see what you make.
