Each Monday we feature the Designer of the Week. One of our editors pick their favorite from the Monthly Challenge entries.
This week, Tari Sasser of Creative Impressions In Clay chose Pattie Wells of The Joy of Nesting as the featured designer.
“The focal bead echoes the etched design of the painting wonderfully. I really enjoy the unrefined roughness of the beads chosen in contrast with the clasp. Great piece Pattie!”

December 21, 2009 at 2:21 pmThis piece is fantastic! The blend of stones with the focal bead are a great representation of the painting of the month. The textures make me want to reach in and touch the piece. Wonderful choice!

December 22, 2009 at 3:09 amQuite an interesting use of an ancient spindle whorl in a modern bracelet. Could you call it repurposing of a found object?

Thank you so much for choosing my challenge piece "Grains of Sand" to feature this week!! I am very honored!! This is my first entry piece to the Art Bead Scene's monthly challenge, so I was very suprised to see that you had chosen my necklace. I had so much fun creating this piece, so much so that I will have to redouble my efforts to find art beads here. There really are no local artists in the city creating art beads so the few I have I must have brought down from the States.
Once again thank you so much for the honor of being this week's featured designer!! 🙂
