Each week the Art Bead Scene features a Designer of the Week. One of our editors picks her favorite from the Monthly Challenge entries. This week’s winner is Tres Jolie Designs by Sue.
Here’s what ABS Editor Rebecca Anderson had to say about ‘s piece:
“I am always in awe of people who can turn a humble medium such as polymer clay into beautiful works of art. The flowers in this piece are beautifully and delicately shaded but more than that, they have the delicacy of shape and texture that real petals have. Just gorgeous!”
Rebecca is a Scottish jewellery designer, currently living in Manchester, England. You can read more about her and her work at her blog, songbeads.blogspot.com and see more of her jewellery at songbead.etsy.com. She also has a supplies shop atthecuriousbeadshop.etsy.com.

February 12, 2013 at 3:20 pmWow, FREAKY amazing!!!! I thought perhaps they were silk flowers. Incredible how thin she got the petals, and they have that fragile, rumpled look that real cherry blossoms have. She really captured it! The petals look almost as if she used some translucent clay as well, really remarkable.
