I am one of those people that can’t leave summer behind, I always find myself at this time of year just when the children go back to school wishing the warm days would last longer. I struggle to start working on autumnal colours while my head is still in that place.
This week I started to consider how I could transition summer colours to autumn, I took my favourite soft greens and turquoise and decided to warm them up with a pretty soft sage and a darker green.
While I was rummaging I also found some ceramic lentils, deep teal seeds and some copper facets, these are commercial beads that I have had in my bead box for ages.
Adding to all of that some heavy leather cord.
I think the total selection is a lovely muted autumnal palette still holding on to a little bit of summer, just like me!
How do you transition you makes from Summer to Autumn?

August 16, 2017 at 7:22 amI fully welcome the beauty of fall. I love the cooler, crispness to the weather. I love the colors of the sky that seem sharper and brighter. I love the way the leaves turn colors and the images of trees in full regalia. It feels like the shortest season, yet it is by far the one I want to live in most! Looking forward to seeing what you do with this! Enjoy the day! Erin
