While it’s getting chilly outside we are going to challenge you this month to use art beads inspired by your favorite coffee shop!
You can pull out the art beads that look like coffee or tea cups, coffee beans, tea pots, sprinkle in some tiny spoons or just go for the coffee inspired hues of mocha, latte, cocoa and espresso.
There are 3 changes to the rules, please take note:
Your entry MUST be tagged with NovABS to be accepted into the gallery.
Pendants that are simply strung on a cord or chain will no longer qualify.
Participants can not win two months in a row, but are encouraged to still play along!
The Details:
This challenge is open to jewelry-makers, fiber artists, collage artist, etc.
***Beads by themselves DO NOT qualify.
***Please add the tag or title NovABS to your photos .
Include a short description, who created the art beads and a link to your blog or website, if you have one.
***What is an Art Bead? An art bead is a bead, charm, button or finding made by an independent artist. Art beads are the vision and handiwork of an individual artist. You can read more about art beads here.
***A bead that is handmade is not necessarily an art bead. Hill Tribe Silver, Kazuri ceramic beads or lampwork beads made in factories are examples of handmade beads that are not art beads.
How to enter:
Submit a photo of an object you have created with art beads that fits this month’s theme to the Art Bead Scene Flickr group.
Detailed instructions can be found here, and click here for a tutorial for sending your picture to the group.
If you can’t upload to Flickr, send your entry and information to Heather.
Your entry can feature art beads created by you or someone else. Each entry has to have at least one art bead. Each unique entry that incorporates an art bead and the monthly theme will qualify for the drawing. November 30, 2007 at 7:27 pmThis was a great challenge, thank you! Of course I love a good mocha, so it wasn’t hard to get into 🙂
My entry is here: http://bluebetween.blogspot.com/2007/11/in-nick-of-time.html for some reason it’s not showing in the flickr group, even though I added it.
