I’m busy getting ready for my one and only holiday show in two weeks. I thought I’d share with you some beads that are on my desk and being worked into designs. These aren’t paired up in any particular order. My jewelry lately is a mix of bright muted colors and earth tones mixed with pewter and brass. Lots of birds, nests, leaves, messages, words, chain and keys.
Left to Right:
•Lockets, skeleton keys.
•Vintage brass
•Natural history and woodland forest themes and animals, namely birds, owls, squirrels, hedgehogs, chipmunks, bunnies, butterflies, feathers, nests, eggs, acorns, leaves, trees, branches, wood-grain, and natural colors.
•Colors: Gold, silver grays, greens, mint, turquoise, and robin egg blues, bright reds, honey and yellows, deep berry varieties.

I need to get my keys on. And those colors you mentioned are my go-to. Good to know!

November 20, 2010 at 12:39 amOh my goodness. Here I am on a Friday night just prowling the blogs and I see one of my pendants. You may indeed have one of the very last of those as that glaze is being phased out. I do love all of the materials you are playing with.

If you have too many (and it looks like you do) you can certainly send them my way. I wouldn't want you to get overwhelmed by them all and stifle that creativity! I'm looking out for you—really!
