Welcome to Studio Saturday! Each week one of our contributors gives you a sneak peek into their studio, creative process or inspirations. We ask a related question of our readers and hope you’ll leave comments! As an incentive we offer a free prize each week to bribe you to use that keyboard. The following week we choose a random winner.
Last weeks winner is OO Congratulations! You have won one of Jangles Christmas Tree Beads from the studio of Jennifer Heynen. Send Jennifer an e-mail with your address and she will get it right out to you.

New Fall like colors for my Toggle Button Collection. When I originally did my glaze test colors they were made in the two tone turquoise colors. They then transitioned into one color. I really like how the Wine, Gold and Brown colors came out. This collection of buttons is really versatile. They look great on everything and make fantastic clasps.
I have to be short this Saturday, OK I’m short everyday, my post has to be short. It’s soccer season and I’m racing to get to a game on time.
My Question this week is:
What do you like most about fall?
It’s my favorite time of the year. I love the cooler crisp weather and the beautiful colors. Oh, and fresh fall apples.
Leave a comment and you could win one of the toggle buttons pictured above.

October 3, 2009 at 1:51 pmThe summer is actually my favorite season but the thing I like most about fall is light scarves (love to acessorize) and Halloween. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I love decorating and dressing up.

October 3, 2009 at 2:39 pmFall is my favorite season! I love the brisk air, wearing snuggly sweatshirts, Halloween, Thanksgiving, gorgeous colors of changing leaves and campfires with family and friends… but, I think my favorite thing is the smell of leaves. Sounds crazy, but I always think of being a kid and jumping in the piles after we raked them.. it always had that distinct earthy smell.

October 3, 2009 at 4:51 pmHmmm, the smell of dried and fallen leaves in the crisp breeze, the sight of pumpkins and winter squash all piled up in front of stores, rain, rain, rain, trapping me inside where I feel motivated to cook and make art!

October 3, 2009 at 6:03 pmOoo, I love sweater weather — I love the crispness of the cool air and the changing colors of the leaves. It's still summer here in N.Central Texas and I won't be putting on a sweater for about a month. Would someone be willing to give me an extra portion of fall for this last bit of summer??

October 3, 2009 at 8:54 pmAutumn is my favorite season! I love the invigorating crisp air, the vibrant colors, a tendancy to 'nest' and be with family, the creativity that seems to go hand in hand with the season.

October 3, 2009 at 8:56 pmI love running in the fall, the weather is cool and dry, the scenery is wonderful as the leaves change, and the days still provide many hours of great sunshine.

October 3, 2009 at 9:22 pmFall is my absolute -favorite- time of year… I've always been a fan of the cool weather, but in recent years, I've really come to appreciate how much cleaner everything is in fall. Here in the mountains, the air feels and smells crisp and sharp, the sky always feels more welcoming, and at night, the stars are clearer than they are any other time of the year. The leaves are pretty too, but it's really the change in the outdoor environment that spells fall to me.

October 3, 2009 at 10:58 pmJust today I was thinking about the things I love about this time of year. Huge pots of hardy mums, pumpkins and gourds, changing colors on the trees, sleeping under the blanket at night without the furnace running. Walking my dog. I could go on forever.

Enjoy the day!

October 4, 2009 at 12:27 pmI love fall too. Crisp air, the smell of pumpkin pies, juicy apples, Halloween and those great orange and black decorations, crunchy leaves. I use to love the smell of burning leaves–but no one is allowed to burn any more. When I was a kid the neighbors would pile all their leaves together in the street and we would bury potatoes under them to be baked by the burning leaves. SueZ

October 4, 2009 at 5:03 pmSueZ, I would never have thought to put potatoes under the leaves. I feel some time outside by the chiminea coming on!

October 4, 2009 at 11:16 pmIn Vegas it is finally cool enough to walk outside during the day instead of just in the mornings. The sunsets are wonderous–full of color you do not see in the summer. That is my favorite inspiration in the fall

October 5, 2009 at 2:17 pmThe hot days of summer tend to discourage any warm kitchen activities, and the nice days are better spent outside. I love it when the weather turns nasty, and I get to spend indoors baking or making crafts.

October 5, 2009 at 5:31 pms_baghaii, I try really hard not to turn the oven on in the summer. Fall starts the wanting to bake in me too.

October 6, 2009 at 12:36 pmIt's difficult to choose…there isn't much about fall that I don't love! It's my favorite season, but I love to watch the leaves change into their fall colors and I love to burn fall scented candles.

October 9, 2009 at 5:16 pmFall is my favorite time of year. The weather is great, not too hot or cold. The skies are mostly sunny, with fewer storms than other seasons. I love the fall leaves, apple cider, and pumpkin pie. I love fall clothing with pretty sweaters, plaids, and colorful tights. I love fall colors including warm yellow-golds, deep reds and oranges, warm browns, and hints of purple. Autumn also reminds me of school days, books, and learning which I have enjoyed. I also have fun cheering on my school's football team. I love fall so much, that I choose October for my wedding, and I have lovely memories of that day. I don't think there is anything about fall that I do not like!
