Hello, I’m Loralee Kolton, a.k.a The Earring Whisperer ~ thank you for stopping by!
Journey 3 features the art of Jessie Fritsch. This challenge couldn’t have come at a better time as I’m shaking off the doldrums of winter and welcoming spring!
The vibrancy of Jessie’s work is stunning! As I began looking through my art beads to see what grabbed me – I kept pulling enamel pieces without even realizing I had a sort of theme started.
Lovely enamel bumblebeee discs by Anne Gardanne of http://www.gardannebeads.etsy.com
The amazing vintage glass “hives” were actually an afterthought. I had finished a completely different design for the bees when I discovered them in my stash and had that aha moment.

I love the bold clean contemporary lines of this pair; they have a beautiful Asian feel as well.

I adore the shapes of these two components together and the richness of the copper next to the green.

A simple elegant brooch using a stunning vintage button.
Bumblebee ceramic focal by Natalie Fletcher Jones of https://www.facebook.com/peruzi.net/
The chubbiest little bumble ever. I gave him a honeycomb rhinestone drop for a little sparkle and attached little brushed gold droplets of honey.

I feel as though I’ve been busy as a bee! Phew! Hope you enjoyed it and inspired to play along with Journey 3!
All my best,
Loralee XO
